With relatives in Ealing we have been visiting this pub for nearly 20 years, usually once or twice each year for Sunday lunch. Tables can be reserved which is what we did on this occasion as it was Valentines Day and six nations rugby. Six of us had Sunday roasts, beef and lamb, which were up there with the best we have ever had. This place is well worth finding if you are in the area. Fuller's range of beers is another good reason to visit.
The Wheatsheaf is only minutes from Ealing Broadway but tucked away down a residential side street away from the bustle of the station and shops, pubs and restaurants around it. It's a Fuller's pub so has the usual range of beers you'd expect available. I've always found the Pride and Oliver's Island very well kept and prices what you'd expect from the area. It's very popular with locals and can get quite busy in the evenings but there's plenty of seating room and a more dining centred area towards the back of the pub. It does show sports events on a big screen so maybe best avoided when there's a big match on if you're after a quiet drink, though the screen isn't visible from the dining area. Staff, service and food are all good. Worth the brief walk from Ealing Broadway for a drink and meal!
