We booked for a large group of 31 people: everyone we spoke to was friendly and Steph (the manager?) was exceptionally efficient as she suggested we could make a pre-order of our food which would make things quicker on the day. We arrived to a small, warm, friendly bar where our tables were reserved and waiting for us. It was a large order for a small pub but the drinks and meals arrived as quickly as possible, and the staff were calm, friendly and helpful. Several of our group have learning disabilities but all the staff were patient and treated everyone with respect (which sadly isn't the case in some other places). The food was fresh and tasty. It was a wonderful start to our day in London and just a few yards away from the theatre where we were going to see the show 'Matilda'.
Passing by with my partner, we stopped for lunch on Monday 6th June, the outside and the lunch offers were inviting! The pub looks really cosy but since it was sunny we chose to sit outside. There's a great choice for all tastes, I ordered from the Lunch Deal menu, a baked camembert and veggie burger, while my partner had mac and cheese to start and a cheese board (yes we love cheese!). Everything was delicious, and the staff double checked on our meal more than once (a French guy I guess, and an Italian girl, Alessia, with whom we had the opportunity to talk more since we are Italian too!). The service was quick as well, and the price fair (my partner paid, but I guess it was around 25£ including 2 soft drinks!). I would definitely recommend it, probably going back for one of their events like a Live music session on Sunday, it's a very nice spot in the middle of Covent Garden!
Visited here one Saturday evening - Very good well presented food and a good selection of real ales. Staff very friendly, great experience, will definitely be returning for round two. Ideal for a meal or refreshments before venturing into theatre land or Covent Garden.
