I discovered this bar looking for something to grab at the breakfast before start to visit Florence. I find two cool Italian brothers in a bar. This was the first reason to tray something. Lorenzo is a barista and a very funny person, smile a lot, very warm, can speak English well and he just light your day. IF you like coffee Lorenzo is the person who will give you the best coffee ever. Francesco is a chef and a pastry specialist. He wear with pride his beauty, smile when he want, is stubborn, but he cook like a god. If you want a real experience to taste real Italian food this is the place. The price is half than in town center and I recommend to take the bus 22 from Santa Maria Magiore to Novo Palato Di Justitia Just to eat there. I will not forget Sara the mother of the two brothers. I am sure that she teaches Francesco everything he knows. She cook exceptionally and she is very nice, warm and very pleasant too. I stay 3 days in Florence and I eat all my breakfast and diners there. The lunch I had elsewhere during the day, but nothing was so delicious like at Carpe Diem. (fresh pasta and sweets) Thank you Sara, thank you Francesco, thank you Lorenzo. I just wait to come back! I miss you already.
