In Rome for 6 days and ventured to Trastevere on a recommendation...the area at night is fabulous...we called here for dinner and we're seated inside in an empty section...not offered a table outside...this wasn't too much of an issue...the room was lovely and modern but needs at least some ambient music in the background. We helped ourselves to menus...all in Italian but in some way that confirms you're not in some tourist trap...prices were very reasonable but we were heading into the unknown a bit... The bruschetta was lovely...the freshest tomatoes of our week so far...maybe lacking a little oil but I'm picking...the creme olive bruschetta was perfect. The pizzas were very tasty even a touch burnt round the edge which I actually prefer!...the sea bass with crushed pistachio and spinach was delicious. The Moratti beer was beautifully cold and both the rose and red wines were perfect especially considering they were 'house' wines. Downsides...service was muddled...two starters came at the same time as two mains...leaving the next two mains to arrive when half our party had finished. This restaurant also employs the bread and water scam...I forgot to say no... Otherwise a really good meal in a really nice surrounding in spite of the way it's run.
My boyfriend and I found this place by accident on the way to Piazza Garibaldi. We had a salad, pasta and bruschetta, We were totally amazed by the quality of the food and service. Prices were very reasonable considering the quality we were getting. It was also nice to finally eat in a local restaurant with other Romans :)
Recommendable restaurant in sentral Trastevere, near Piazza Cosimato, that I visited several times during one month stay in Rome. Delicious quality food at reasonable prices. The best pizza ever! If you just go for a glass of wine, they also accomodate you with bruscetta or cookies. Maria Christina and the staff are service-minded and helpful. Also a lot of local guests, and they know where to eat affordable quality-food.
