If you like Japanese/Chinese/Thai food, just go here. We were staying in the Rome Cavalieri, and the restaurant is just 5 minutes downhill walk from the hotel. It's in a very quiet area, and it's definitely not the tourist trap type of place so we definitely felt like we were getting a genuine experience even before walking through the door. Over our two day trip, we visited this place twice. Once in the evening of our first night, and once again at lunch the following day. Both experiences were amazing. On the first day, we ordered a "boat" of sushi, which was 25EUR, along with two bottles of Prosecco (10EUR each, WOW) and a plate of chicken chow mein. The total bill came to about 50EUR, which was amazing considering we left the place stuffed and could have easily spent less if we tried. The first time we were served by who I assume to be the owner's son, who spoke a good level of English, and was able to communicate with us easily. On the second day, we ordered "no limit japanese chinese thai" which was all you can eat for around 15EUR. The way it worked was we ordered our food off the menu given to us (full range, not one of these cut down all you can eats that doesn't include any of the expensive stuff) and the waitress/owner brought the food out to us. It did feel a little awkward at first "Yeah can we have some salmon sashimi, tuna maki, mixed hand rolls, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc." but that's only because we are used to not receiving this kind of deal in the UK. This time we were served by an older Chinese lady, who spoke much less English than the younger guy, but still understood anything we said off the menu. She definitely made us feel welcome in the place, and she apologised for any miscommunication despite it being our fault for not speaking Italian/Mandarin. The food arrived promptly both times, and there was no reason to fault any of it. If you're visiting Rome and you're a fan of Asian food, I would definitely recommend checking out this place.
