We had lunch at L'Archeologia after visiting the nearby Catacombs with a group. The food was excellent and the outdoor space was quite charming. Make sure you take a trip inside and visit their unique Wine Cellar. A must for all wine lovers!

Having made a reservation a months ahead of our visit, the booking was confirmed in writing. When we arrived, after a 35 minute long taxi ride, it was obvious that they could not find it. The manager then escorted us to a bleak side room which was very cold and no other made up tables apart from ours against a wall. No other guests apart from what seemed to be two staff sitting at a table.My husband complained to the manager who then put up a table at the front door. As we were sitting down he said very rudely we are fully booked. At this point we should have left, but were hungry so we stayed. The waiters was very young and not very efficient, perhaps just left catering school! The arrogance and rudeness of the manager is something we have never experienced before. It spoiled an evening which was meant to be romantic and special for our anniversary. Will not recommend this unfriendly place and will certainly not return.
