This small restaurant right by the Trevi fountain was an unexpected find and a pleasure to eat at. The 'Gluten Free' display at the front of the restaurant drew us in and we weren't disappointed. Being so close to the Trevi I expected the hustle and bustle and disappointing fare as you'd normally see so close to tourist attractions, but there was a separate menu for gluten free dishes and the food was freshly prepared with the open kitchen visible for all to see. A little more expensive than other local restaurants but expected given the location, however the service was very good, the food lovely and atmosphere pleasant. Worth a visit...
My wife and I think this is the best pizza we have had during our two week Italy honeymoon, from Rome to Venice. Tonight we followed TripAdvisor and went to Pizza in Trevi based on the ratings. It was so good! The mixed bruschetta appetizer was fresh, warm, and savory. My wife had the Hawaiian pizza and said it was delicious. I had the pizza cappricciosa. It was definitely the heartiest, cleanest tasting, freshest pizza I have had in our two weeks in Italy. The prices are very reasonable at ten to thirteen euro per pizza, ten euro for the appetizer, and thirteen euro for a liter of light tasting house red wine. Excellent value. The servers were also very friendly and welcoming, which is a nice change of pace.
