We visited this restaurant after visiting the Spanish steps and wandering around looking for an affordable place to eat. We were practically dragged in by the greeter after looking at the menu outside, he told us that the restaurant sold fresh tasty Roman food. We both had gnocci which was defiantly from frozen, not fresh. heaped in cheap cheese sauce. It was fine, but no nicer than I would expect if I cooked it myself from a packet. The restaurant itself was not clean and overcrowded, I was practically sat in the lap of the couple next to us! The service was also terribly slow and poor. We were brought the wrong thing twice. At the end of the meal we were charged for tap water. 4 euros for a small jug!! I would give this place a major body swerve, it's a total tourist trap. Walk just a little further away from the Spanish steps for more choice and better meals.
If you want ot eat, don't stop there. The staff is young and without any smile to the customers... We ordered a bruschetta and a simple Margherita and we were served after 45 min... 3 or 4 tables had their meal before us even if they came after us. The pizza wasn't good at all. I've ordered penne with octopus, it was good but I'm still searching for the octopus in my plate. The waitress did'nt take care of us. She walked everywhre but... Some people were marry about her and we understood why. One of my worst experience.
Lovely man outside ushering us in. Disinterested waitress who was more concerned with polishing vacant tables than serving us. Forgot the starters! Salad was horrible! Main courses were nice, but husbands place was cleared before I had finished, the table was left dirty and we waited an hour after for the offer of deserts. Eye contact and beckoning didn't work, so called for the bill and left. Wish we had read rip adviser before we went!
