Very well located in the old city quarter of Niederdorf, Tasca Romero is nearly a Spanish typical tapas bar. Easy going, the place is really friendly and it is easy to talk to other guests. It is not a restaurant, but you can have some tapas before dinner or have tapas-dinner. The selection of tapas includes the most famous ones, the quality is good and so the taste. There are also several Spanish wines on the wine-card, with the possibility to have just a glass or a whole bottle. The service is good and they speak Spanish. Price is reasonable for Zurich.
This is a wonderful gem in heart of Zurich. You order a number of small plates by selecting from a collection of meats and vegetables in the display cabinet which are then brought to your table. My collegue and I enjoyed a plate of goat cheese, salami, sardines, artichoke hearts, and our favorite "chorizo al diablo". This last plate was served in flames. The staff is multi-lingual so English speakers will have no issues.
