If you like sushi and plenty of it, this is your place of choice in Munich. The quality of the fish is surprisingly high for a running sushi place. I also liked the other hot dishes offered on the top conveyor belt - especially the crispy duck. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very small, so a reservation is a must - and don't arrive late, the staff will reassign your table and let you wait for the next vacant table.
Asahi is a nice small place when you are hungry and want eat for a good price. Dont expect fancy restaurant, but you will have fun and for 18,50 euros eat quite good food. There is a variety of dishes, they are filling the roll quickly. You can choose between good sushi's or hot meals. We were satisfied!
I was searching for a japanese restaurant during one night in München. I've seen this rolling sushi place, packed with people, near Giselastrasse U-Bahn exit: why not? I sat down and looked at the dishes. Only few Nigiri, lot of Maki with Surimi (which is NOT a fish, but it's made from fishes). You can eat thai dishes ad well from the roll band. The taste of the sushi is average, like what you can buy at any store. The formula all you can eat for 22 Euro. The dishes seems to be not well cleaned. Well, I survived. But a japanese restaurant it's really something different, even for the same price range.
