After almost 10 days without rice, like any typical Asian and Pinoy in particular I crave. Walking along Rue des Abbesses we saw this Asian restaurant and decided to take away fried rice priced at €1/100 grams. We ordered 200 grams just to satisfy our craving and this old woman said ok and we got the smallest container. We were surprised when we saw the take away container overflowing with rice and weighed almost 500 grams!! We told her thats too much and was informed thats the minimum amount!!! Now we know the rice scam! You have been warned!
We had Pho and several dim sum style shrimp appetizers (Haw gow and Shu Mi). I'm not sure what was in the appetizers because it was very unappetizing. The fact that they microwaved the dim sum to death might have something to do with this. Their Pho was somewhat better, but both my wife and myself left most of it because it was not very tasty. I guess the best thing to say is that this restaurant encouraged my diet to lose weight by not making their food very appetizing.
Chanced upon this restaurant when visiting Montmartre area. It's managed by 2 Shanghainese ladies who have lived in Paris for many years. Restaurant is clean & bright. Food is charged by weight, for example 100g of prawn is €5. We ordered white rice, stir-fry broccoli, char-Siew (pork W chinese BBQ sauce), stir-fry prawns & fried noodles. The prawns took me by surprise cos' they were very fresh & well cooked! Yum. The total bill was really affordable, cost us €50+. We left with satisfied stomach & fulfilled craving for Chinese food :p
