We had some Groupon vouchers and to find out exactly where we were headed, used Google and came across the Trip Advisor site and the most recent review was rather scathing, especially about the service. I can only think that the owner doesn't read the Trip Advisor comments or is oblivious about them or refuses to accept that their service aspect needs attention as this definitely does let the place down. All the starters were delicious and the mains were interesting (e.g. steak with mint sauce is unusual) and dessert was good and worth noting that our drinks, ordered before the starters, finally arrived just prior to dessert (and the waitress needed to be reminded about them). One or two prior reviewers had also been critical of the baklava, but, those of us who chose it weren't disappointed and the rhubarb apple crumble was pretty good, too. Up the service aspect and the atmosphere, this little restaurant could become a very popular venue ... however, stick to the current recipe and it will continue to muddle along.
The décor is lovely everything looks clean & the three course dinner was fine overall. I personally found the Kofta a little bland for my taste, however I do have a tendency to like heavily spiced food. Potion sizes definitely on the large side. The wait staff were nice enough but very clearly inexperienced (everyone has to learn though) so service was slow despite only a few tables dining at that time. Prices are a little steep for a Café serving café food.
