This restaurant is located in a not-so-attractive area not far away from the port facilities of Maizuru. But be assured that it doesn’t mean it is in a scary or a dangerous area. Their food is Mediterranean. The menu was reasonably extensive with lots of pasta dishes. The wine list looked quite good. We enjoyed pasta and beef dishes with some house red. The food and service were quite good, and we were very happy to enjoy the quiet evening. While we were eating we had nobody else but one person came in later. It was almost too quiet and we wondered why as the restaurant had such good foods. Well, it was after all a weekday evening.
A seafood restaurant that had no fish ? Whats with the PIG as a Logo ? and slightly spooky interior decoration ... certainly a strange combination, and it was closed on the Monday when I first tried, however .... PERSEVERE, as on the Tuesday I went back, and had one of the best meals I have had in ANY French Restaurant in the world ... Great ingredients, excellent chef ... Definitely will be going back next time I am here (business in Maizuru), and without a doubt it was the best meal I have ever had in Maizuru... only a few minutes walk out of town, and perfect if you stay At Mare Takata Hotel (which I would say is the best choice for business in Maizuru).
