In Bangkok there aren't much of Indian food restaurants and those who are there charge so high prices and the food available is just satisfactory but at Punjab sweets the story is totally different you'll get quality and the most delicious food in the whole Thailand. Full of variety of sweets Indian fast food. Highly recommended.
The Location is opposite India Emporium. This name is very familiar with most of the taxi drivers. The Restaurant is Ok as far as food is concern but the service is a little slow. Some times the tables are Full and you may have to wait to get in. TIP: You can ask for 10% discount if your bill is more than 600 Bhat.. Owner Name Is Raju.
this is a humble looking retaurant in the Pahurat area, in a small lane off Chakrapet Road.best source of direction would be the Sikh temple in Pahurat. Punjab sweet vegetarian restaurant is opposite the temple. the indian sweets prepared at this establishment are delicious and authentic as fresh milk is used in the preparation. besides the wide of range of milk based sweets ( kala jaam, burfi, ras malai, kala kand etc etc) the restaurant has an extensive menu for the punjabi vegetarian cuisine. the traditional saag and "makki roti" (corn flour bread) are very popular. of course the other range of breads include naans, tawa roti and tandoori roti.the usual dalls, vegetable varieties and salads are included in the menu. good range of starters include the samosa, pakoras and chaat papri. we ate there on three occasions and none of the dishes was disappointing. the added advantage is the reasonable price range - about baht 150 for a really satisfying meal, including a drink, lassi etc. the restaurant also has an outlet called masala-mantra in silom, near the TOPS market if you are not able to get to Pahurat.
