We had to go there everyday - as the breakfast of our hotel was served there. By the 4th day - we gave up on it - and purchased breakfast on our own. They make every Indian dish in a way that it is unpalatable - and completely uneatable.
you are strongly advised not to drive to this area during the weekends, particularly sunday and public holidays. the drive is a nightware with all our foreign workers loitering all over the place, with little or no regard to vehicular traffic.of course MRT (farrer park) andother public transport are an option. you are also not going to see any signs of "park balluchi". BOKHARA has replaced the park balluchi after some new business arrangments with the latter restaurant. the ambience - needs to be improved. the lighting is poor and the table arrangement not very orderly. the food - there is semblance to the indian food but nothing seems to stand out.we tried the buffet - three non vegetarian dishes (chicken, mutton and fish) and two or three standard vegetarian items like dhall and mixed vegetables. the starter chicken tikka looked good but was not up to the mark in taste.the beriyani, on the other hand is very original and recommended. the dessert, kheer, is not well known to non-indians,it is a kind of rice pudding (rice boiled in milk for a long time) and considering the quantity of leftover it apparenly did not appeal to too many diners. they are defnitely short handed but the staff did make every effort to accommodate a fairly good crowd. this place is o.k. for sampling fairly good beriyani.
