I think their salt baked crab is truly unique. But the level of (bad) service I got tonight was unforgivable.... Book table 3 days before inclusive of reservation of 2 large >2kg crabs and arrive at restaurant at 6.55pm on a Sunday night Order food within 10 minutes of sitting down.... 7.25pm first dish arrives. Chilli Crab (crab looks smaller than the promised 2kg each but hungry). Dish is cold, sat before being served to us for at least 15 minutes. Makes you wonder whether it was someone else's crab... 7.45pm pork ribs arrives 8.10pm Fried bee hoon arrives 8.30pm frog legs with ginger and spring onion arrives 9.10pm Salt baked crab arrives.......AFTER I go downstairs and blow up at the 'lau ban liang'. The dish practically chases me up the stairs. But the crab is cold, dry and tough. It had clearly sat unserved for at least 20 minutes after being cooked. At 50 bucks a kilo, that was 100 bucks sitting in that dish, wasted. More than the money wasted, the poor creature died without being appreciated served like that. We cancelled the rest of our dishes and paid up. Lady boss did not offer ANY word of apology (not to mention a discount) at all. I hope they keep up this 'good' service. Then the legacy of this great restaurant will sadly but deservedly end with their inevitable but eventual going out of business..... Never going back. Sorry!
