We stumbled across this restaurant when we decided to go exploring one evening. It's a great restaurant, offering both Thai food and Italian. Which was perfect for us as we had two young children with us who were not yet accustomed to fried rice and noodles. The staff were great and the food was delicious. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend
I wandered into this place on my way to Terminal 21, and was glad I found it. Although they are a "pizza" restaurant, they are actually two restaurants side by side, an Italian restaurant and a Thai restaurant. You can order from either menu from either restaurant. I had the Thai food. I had the Pad Thai and Mango Sticky Rice - yes, I know it's a tourist cliche. Both were good, but the Pad Thai could use more spice. I assume they thought I couldn't handle the heat, so I had to ask for chili. The mango sticky rice was very generous. They were both reasonably priced for an indoor air-conditioned restaurant off Sukumvit road. They had free wifi. Overall it was good value for the money. They also allow you the option to sit outside, but it was very hot on the day I visited. I did not try the Italian food, and cannot comment on it.
I can only review the Thai restaurant part of pizza aroy. Our experience from the moment we arrived was pretty disappointing and we should have given it a miss especially since we didnt see any locals eating there. However this was our first night so we were hungry and didnt want to search anymore. We sat at the table and were shown the menus, i chose the typical pad thai and my partner the coconut curry in the coconut but they didnt have any coconuts so it was served in a bowl. We also had the papaya salad. What can i say but very disappointing thai food, we ate better paying 40 baht in the street at a street vendor. The pad thai was tasteless, the coconut curry empty and the papaya salad flat. The staff tried their best to get us to spend more ordering more expensive food and drinks and were pretty insistent.....however we were polite and insisted we had enough.... Paying nearly 1,000 baht for poor quality food was very disappointing but karma rewarded us by buying another pad thai in the street near the restaurant for 40 baht and enjoying a true thai pad thai. Save your time and money and eat where the thai people eat...its a great indicator the food is good.
First time in Bangkok, we didn't know where to go but having walked around we found this place, lots of people already here eating so we decided to stay. The waitress was very helpful as we didn't know what to order, we had a plate of fried pork to start, we shared this plate as it was plenty. Main course, we had Thai green fried rice with prawns. When it came, we were a little disappointed as there was no sauce, but I have to say, it was very tasty, we cleared our plates! On the down side, the drinks were pricey. The bottle of wine came to more than the food .
