A nice addition to Lan Kwai Fong. This bar is really hard to find. It sits on the fourth floor of a building with a non-descript (or constantly under construction) lobby so that walking in to get to the elevator feels a little like trespassing into a work site. This welcoming and intimate izakaya bar feels like it was transported in one piece from anywhere in Tokyo. As is typical for these places, the food menu is shorter than the sake menu, so it is meant to accompany the drinking. The quality of the food is superb, particularly since the octopus, roast beef, chicken, and fried foods perfectly compliment the sake. Newbie sake drinkers can try the sampler, which is three glasses of the house specials. Not the greatest, but a bit like asking for the house white or red wines. The sake menu has a very helpful tasting chart that helps drinkers choose one of four distinct sake flavors from a list of close to a hundred different sakes. For those who know sake, this is a Niigata oriented sake bar (as opposed to Kyoto oriented). So the brands tend to be from the Northern parts of Honshu, including a couple from Fukushima for the really brave (or drunk). The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. And, yes, there are other drinks on the menu.

Visited by recommendation from a friend. Restaurant in a building slightly hard to find if you are not a local of LKF area. Its pretty much smack in the middle of the party zone. Small shop serving mostly Japanese snack foods. However, they have a really good selection of sake and many tasting sets to sample at reasonable prices. If you like sake and want to taste different styles and producers, give this place a try.
My wife and I were there during our recent trip to Hong Kong. I have found the place from a local dinning app as one of the best sake bar in Hong Kong. I have been very keen on Sake and so was very excited to go. The bar is small and only seats about 30 people but I think that added to the charm. We went at 10pm and didn't book but they manage to squeese us in. The menu was very informative on sake and had a big variety. The food/snack were also wonderful (I would certainly recommend the ox tongue) and went very well with sake. I had the testing sake menu with 3 different grade of sake from the same brewery and so it was a great learning experience. Then I had a lot more sake... but it was all very good :)
