Stopped here on a Sunday night and ordered two pasta dishes: one seafood pasta "special" and one "fresh pasta" al pomodoro; neither of which was listed on the regular menu, but was suggested by the waiter. Both pasta dishes were quite oily and disappointing. We also made the mistake of not confirming the prices of the items and ended up with a bill for nearly €50 which included two mains (€15, €9) one appetizer (€9) one bottle of wine (€10) and a €1.50 cover charge per person. For reference, our other meals in Napoli were about €30 or less and were much more palatable. They definitely took advantage of us because we were tourists! Shameful! To the management: if you want people to spend money at your establishment, you don't have to be unscrupulous and underhanded, just provide a decent meal!
After all day walking around the Historic Center of Naples, got very hungry and looking for a place to eat at least a slice of pizza mostly of the business were close at 3:00pm and Casa 'e Toto was open !!! I requested a Stella Pizza( a pizza in a form of star , each tip filled with different ingredient) it was to die for !!! Very nice staff and decent prices !!!
We stayed a night in Napoli on the way home from Sicilia and were keen to try the local pizza. Found this place while wandering the colourful lanes in the heart of the city. It was very quiet when we were there. Seating is upstairs seperate from take away section so nobody hanging around waiting to collect food as you get in some other places. They serve the pleasant local beer. The menu had English translations and staff spoke good English too. I ordered the Monk Pizza (?) which had no tomato base, just cheese and toppings. Amazing! Don't think I could eat another pizza the same again. My wife was equally delighted with her heavenly pizza. Highly recommendable.
