This is the last remaining victory ship produced during WWII in the Richmond shipyards, and it’s got a group of dedicated volunteers who work hard to restore it and tell its story. You can take a self-guided tour or a docent-led tour; I recommend the docent-led tour. The tour takes you to the living quarters for crew and officers as well as the kitchen, radio room and the bridge. It’s interesting to imagine the ship as it was during WWII. Plan to spend about an hour there (give or take depending on your interest in naval history of WWII). This is easily combined with a visit to Rosie the Riveter/WWII Homefront National Historical Site.
