The second trip to Guam, we went back to Proa in Hagatna. This time was more than once. Each time, it did not disappoint us. Proa Coffee,100% organic Timor and Guam Arabica beans locally roasted, is very smooth, no need for sugar and creme, and goes so well with cakes: Taro Cheese-a must try with or without brûlée, Mango Bavarian, Crème brûlée, Coconut Banana Cream pie. Yumm! We also went for lunch: Poke, Salmon, BBQ, and red rice. They are all good. A girl who helped us in the bakery section was so nice and friendly. The service in the restaurant for lunch was ok, not excellent comparing to our first time there in 2014. If we go back to Guam, we will surely go to Proa again.
Weirdest Manhattan ever. Ah well, they also had island brewed Pale Ale which hit the spot. Had yummy snails and an unusual rolled salad (too big and too sweet). The belly in my pork two ways was great, the loin a little dry, but a good plate nonetheless. Didn't get the BBQ because I'd had so much already that week. Good wine list, chicken tacos didn't really work for my companion, and a simple desert. A nice change of pace from the other food we'd been having on the island, and sort of fancy. Pricey too, but that seems to be the case with food on Guam. Was pretty busy on a Sunday nite, but we got easy seats at the bar.
