Went with extended family for dinner. Did book prior, so we did have a table waiting. Problem was, the table was neither in the main restaurant, nor on the outside... Very in-between orphaned area.. If u know what I mean... No complains about the food. Amazing hummous and labneh followed by shish taouk and spicy lamb kebabs. Finger licking... No regrets in that front.. The service is a bit 'rough'... Waiters are all from south east asia and I found their manners a bit wanting, for the level of restaurant they work for... Otherwise, highly recommended for the food and , if lucky, for a chance to see the musical fountains at the Dubai Mall.
We were invited there for a business dinner. Cold mezza was nice, especially the hommos and fattoush. The hot mezza was ok because I'm not a big fan of fried sausages. Then directly came the main dish which is bbq meat and chicken. I was disappointed that we didn't get the traditional pastry like meat and cheese rolls and even french fries. Dessert was very average. The view to the fountain is the best deal to get there.
We found this restaurant while passing by on a visit to see the famous Dubai fountains, and the average food was ruined by the terrible service. We requested to move to a better table for viewing the fountains and while I was visiting the toilets (5 minute walk away) my wife was rudely asked to move back as the table was already booked. We moved quietly. Next up we had ordered a starter each to share, but mine did not come out. Had to wait 5 minutes more. When we were tucking into our starters (which were quite nice) the mains came out and they tried to take our half eaten starters away. When I complained afterwards the manager was very friendly in front of other customers then asked me to follow him inside. His mood changed immediately and several others crowded round me in an intimidating fashion, where we were forced to pay in full.
