I love Japanese cuisine - but I needed a break.Ganesha came highly recommended from a local host and after eating there 3 times in one week, I can attest that it's as excellent as I had hoped for. The owner and staff are eager to please. The ambience is quaint and inviting. The naan is like nothing you've ever seen before! It's so large, it doesn't even fit in the basket. It's as delicious as it looks. I had the daal on two different occasions. I ordered it spicy and was very content. I love Indian food but I try not to get my hopes up too high when eating at an Indian restaurant outside of an Indian neighborhood. It was flavorful and delicious. Because I enjoyed my dining experience so much, I brought my husband in for lunch. We each tried two different thali specials so that we could taste an assortment of dishes. The price was extremely reasonable, especially since we were both stuffed from gorging on all the deliciousness. We also enjoyed the vegetable samosas and found them to be particularly flavorful. We wish the Ganesha team all the success!
I would like to recommend this restaurant in Kyoto close to the Golden Pavilion for lunch or dinner Next to the delicious Indian curries the large and fresh naanbread are outstanding, and the best we ever had! We visited this place 3 times when in Kyoto, just because we loved it. Very reasonable priced, nice staff and lovely mangolassi aswell!
