A small cozy restaurant with a good selection of meat dishes and drinks. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, service is excellent. Suitable for any company, including with children. You can go and just have lunch, and it is possible to note an event. Close to the metro and the city center.
Because we were enjoying Russian cuisine at lunch on this holiday, eating Russian for dinner was not always a priority. On our last night we craved steak and burgers, and Torro Gril did not disappoint. We began with an unusual starter of garlic and herb roasted marrow bones. Incredible combination of flavors, though we could have used one or two more toasts to go along with. The medium rare Rib-Eye steak was just that; juicy and pink, and savory. Our burger toppings varied, but each burger was also perfectly juicy and well-flavored. No complaints. If there was a down side to our meal, it was that the wine was ridiculously expensive. The wait staff were friendly, and spoke enough English that we could successfully navigate the menu. All in all, a very good dining experience.
It is not our first time there and we keep thinking that the steak here is just great. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiters are friendly, fast, attentive and most of them speak English. We like their lager house beer , it's tasty and light. The menu is quite rich but of course the major dishes are the steaks, which come in different sizes and cuts. The rib eye is the best!! This place is not cheap, for two page beers, two rib eyes + sides and a piece of cheese cake we paid almost 5000 rubles but the comparison price/quality is worth every cent. We were also offered two exquisite glasses of limoncello at the end of our dinner. We'll be back again for sure.
Few years ago we used to go frequently to restaurants of this network. It was a safe bet if you want to celebrate some small event or just have a good weekend diner. Lately the quality of the food dropped considerably. Their main dishes - steaks and fries - are poorly made. We went in one of the restaurants this winter and out of four steaks ordered not one was made properly. And we even had to request to redo on of the orders completely. The meat was raw on the one side and practically burned on the other. You still may find decent dishes, and drinks are generally good. But it lost a lot. And now we avoid these places.
