To Nisi in Greek means “The Island” and it truly looks like an island! The minute I set my foot inside their big veranda, I felt like I was on a holiday. Everything is painted white and light indigo, there were wooden details, the tables and chairs were identical with the wood&straw ones that we usually find by the sea and all decoration items reminded me of the Greek summer. Being there felt like a break from everyday life; a nice and tasty break! The tableware was very tasteful, with details of the logo of the restaurant (a light blue fish) and the menu was made of wood and rope. Probably the most unique menu I've ever seen! I loved how everything was inspired by the Greek sea and islands, in a very simple and distinctive way. To Nisi has a very good offer. 13 euros for unlimited food and drinks. There are many food choices (mainly seafood but there are also a couple of meat options) and for your thirst you can choose between house wine, ouzo, raki, Vergina beer and sodas. There are also a few fish and seafood options which cost extra (from 6 to 12 euros) and if you wish to drink bottled ouzo and tsipouro the small (200ml) bottle costs 6 euros. We opted for the offer with no additional items, since there were more than enough to choose from. Here's what we had: -Chips. Hand-cut, crispy, with no excess oil. The portion was leaning towards huge. -Courgette balls. With lots of herbs, a hint of cheese, crispy and light. -Octopus balls. Delightful! -Fried fillet of sole fish. This was the star of the meal. It was like eating clouds! So soft and airy and yet crispy on the outside. A good reminder of why this was my favourite fish when I was a toddler. -Vinegar-marinated anchovies. Although this is a simple recipe, many restaurants mess it up because they leave the fish in the vinegar for too long and you can't taste neither the fish nor the herbs and spices. This one was perfect. Yes, there was a hint of vinegar but there was also a hint of garlic, another hint of chill
