I had a chicken schnitzel in this airport hotel restaurant that must have been in the frying pan for the better part of a day: a drier piece of fried food I have never seen. It was accompanied by a potato salad that literally had no flavor at all. Perhaps the other items on the menu were better, but this was a meal best forgotten.
This restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the Marriott hotel tight outside the airport and a great place for a meal if you arrive early before your flight. The menu is limited but the food is decent quality, what was disappointing is the speed of service and the staff's ability to get the order right. If you order a bottle of wine you should get a cheese board free of charge but this never materialised and the cheese, tomato and basil pizza had no basil - when asked as the pizza arrived we were told they were out of Basil! Overall not bad but could be so much better.
We have had a three course lunch there and were pleasantly surprised both with quality of the food and service. The best table is by the large windows so you can watch the airplanes and the control tower, good thing specially with kids... Make sure you try their shrimps gambas in garlic, what a perfect starter. Steak was fresh and medium–rare exactly as we ordered. The best desert was home made cheese cake. Highly recommended!
