This handy suburban restaurant has themed Friday night dinners. The Thai food was very tasty with different combinations of foods. The starters were all fantastic with a good range of choices for all tastes. The main courses received varied comments as the beef was very spicy & rare which should have been noted in the menu. The desserts, of which there was just a choice of two were fantastic. This was Thai with a difference to your local Thai restaurant and more expensive, but was a delightful change. The only comment from most in the group was the pace at which the courses were served. The staff were very attentive & friendly but the rate at which the courses were served was disappointing. So we were not inclined to order coffee which would have made our evening even later. Having been to Billykart for great lunches, we were disappointed to take friends when the service was not so punctual.
The Billykart is a nice cafe, it does a decent breakfast and consistently good coffee. It is always very very busy, so be aware that you might have to wait outside for a while before a table is available. The cafe is quite loud so it can be difficult to hear, but it looks quite nice. The food is very tasty too! I think it is probably a bit overpriced however. Service is mostly good but there seems to be quite a high rate of staff turnover.
Arrived at Billykart kitchen on Mothers Day without a reservation. Offered a cup of tea while we waited 20 minutes for a table. Was it worth the wait? Sure was. Fabulous food, very well presented and reasonably priced. Plenty on the plate and sooooooo tasty. Will we go back? Sure will.
