Had a lovely Argentinian steak dish here. Great range of starters and very good meat dishes. Not a place for vegetarians! Surprisingly good choice of wines, mainly Argintinian given it is owned and run by Argintinians.
Open 7 days a week this is the only place in the area where one can get late dinner, good Wi-Fi and drink. Menu is narrow but quality. Pizzas are so big and thick that they need two persons to be eaten. They are probably pre-half-frozen but never mind, deep-pan pizza is on front of you in 3 minutes. They offer also empanades, a kind of small local kalzzones stuffed with chess, onion or meat and spinach. Hot and cold sandwiches. And savories in the form of duck breast ("qua qua", explained to me on of two owners-waiters), ribs and beef. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, music from speakers consists of Beatles, Phil Collins, The Queen, Joe Cocker. The restaurant is dedicated to rugby, which has reason: two owners-waiters are former rugby players, and you can recognize on the pictures from their young days. ot
A local recommended this place and she was dead right to. An Argentinian restaurant specialized in pizzas. The pizzas are the typical Argentinian deep pan variety and to be honest didn't look that appetizing, had almost a stodgy aspect. However, they were absolutley delicious. The empanadas (Argentinian pasties) were spot on, big selection of fillings to boot. They also have a very uncommon beer on tap that has a German name...excellent. Prices were more than reasonable. Only downside was that service was quite slow but as everything was good it wasn`t an issue. Great place well worth trying.
Don't get me wrong, they are delicious and just like my mum used to make at home!! It's a matter of flavors that took me back in time. Too noisy for a romantic dinner, but great place to watch live rugby
