I was looking forward to having a nice last Vietnamese meal. Firstly they gave me iced coffee instead of hot. The squid was so tough we could not eat it and the "fresh" spring rolls tasted soggy and like they had got the fish out of the muddy polluted river just down the road.
After few weeks in Vietnam, you are expecting a good food. Airports are known for small and expensive dishes. I had a stirrer tofu with mushrooms, rice and a soda for 100K, which is half the price I was expecting. However, it was not the best food, but good enough for an airport.
After three weeks with delicious food all over Vietnam, the last bite at the airport turned out to be a horrible experience. In the vitrine the dishes look nice, but what they serve (at scandalous prices) doesn't get close. One leaf os salad in stead of a complete salad as shown, bread that's old and dry, a shameful amount of inedible fries. Disgusting. Waitresses stopped understanding English as soon as complaints were made. For the record: I visited the 'Lucky restaurant' after customs, next to gate nr 11.
