They have a nice outdoor patio (with fans) to sit outside and have a beer after work! They have a large selection of beers that always come with a new ice cold glass. They make their own IPA and it is one of the best I have had! Highly recommend making a stop here!
I visited this venue twice both times with my drinking partner-in-crime. It's a quiet and low key venue with a surprisingly broad bottled and canned beer selection among the best I have seen in Asia though it is mainly continental European brews. Would have loved to have seen some British/Scandinavian brews and a broader selection of ciders. Anyway, friendly and discreet service, a basic food menu but speedy delivery. Nice outdoor seating and secluded location. Well worth a visit if you like your beers!
Viet is a lovely Vietnamese man with a "net like" knowledge of Belgian and European beers in general. These he serves at precisely the right temperature, in exactly the the right glass along with a charming "menu" describing the "flavor" of each and every beer. Be warned, the alcohol content of Viet's beers range from 6% - 10% though he does serve a limited range of cheap local beer which compared to his main product, is bathwater. District 7 is a newish, very green part of town. Viet's Beer House is tucked away behind Van Linh in a great location. He's recently installed a sign outside his little pub which will help. Food is a work in progress (limited, tasty, local) but there are numerous fab places to eat within easy walking distance. This is a man who loves great beer and loves to chat (in his quiet, friendly way) with appreciative customers. There is outdoor and indoor seating in a nice leafy street. He generally opens at 5 pm (earlier on weekends) but if you'd like a "private tasting", he lives upstairs and is happy to get your phone call and open up.
