We only went here because of the ratings... We should have known to keep walking when your on the beach and the seafood on display is frozen...so we walk in and skipped the seafood and ordered a noodle dish ...that was full of water and it very tasty and the vinegar salad and fresh rolls... We did not finish the food, paid and left...walked across the street to one of the seafood BBQ and had a great seafood dinner. Now the staff was great and the beer was cold. That's it ....
We stumbled across this place by accident after feeling rather frustrated that most restaurants in Mui Ne are rather pricey. This food isn't incredible but it really is very nice - and fresh. I had a pho noodle soup with a salad, and husband had a grilled seafood platter with garlic noodles. We were on a budget and our food including a couple of drinks came to around £4 ($6 dollars) per head. Service was spot on. In an area that caters towards Russian tourists it was nice to served by a lady who spoke English. Husband's food was grilled on the BBQ at the front of the restaurant and this took a little time. During this time my food was brought to me which was a shame as we then waited 15 minutes for my husband's food. It is perhaps worth pointing out that in most establishments that I have eaten at in Vietnam, the food is brought out as soon as it is cooked. My salad was crisp and fresh. Portion wise, everything was just right. I have read a few poor reviews and would like to touch on disinterested staff - given that this is an outdoor restaurant with a few ceiling fans and that the temperature at the time of my visit was a humid 36 degrees celcius they can be forgiven for not being able to raise a smile. Not that this is an excuse but possibly a reason. Also remember that this is one of the cheaper restaurants in Mui Ne which might be reflected in the quality of the food. However, our food was fantastic.
Stayed in Mui Ne for 6 nights and ate here twice, the food was great. Not amazing, but definitely the best we found in Mui Ne. Had a vege tofu stir-fry first time, the best meal I had eaten in Nam since I got here over 2 weeks ago, so tasty and fresh. Second time I tried the BBQ, tuna steak in chilli and garlic, delish. Boyf had the red snapper and then pork in cream sauce, red snapper deffo his fave and recommended. Reasonably priced, and the staff are great, one particularly happy chap, and the others, if you think they are not, you just have to smile at them and you get one right back!
Despite the good reviews on TA I didn't like this restaurant. Maybe I was just hot & bothered but the staff were grumpy, the food tasted weird, in fact my mum couldn't eat her beef BBQ skewers and questioned if it was even beef. Yes it's cheap & there were lots of people there that looked like they were enjoying themselves but I didn't rate it at all.
