The restaurant is situated in what looks a little likes a large old wooden warehouse. This is a very simple establishment with, as others have commented, very quirky decor, but this only adds to the atmosphere. We had lunch here on a Saturday when it was quite busy, mostly with locals, but the service was fine. We thought the food to be good, although we were surprised at a Vietnamese restaurant not serving Pho. We did not ask for alcohol, but there was no sign of it on the menu, and we saw no one drinking beer. I have rated it as very good on the grounds of the overall experience and value for money.
Not easy to find as it is covered by Bougainvillea and does not have the actual name above the door but follow the map, it is accurate and as soon as you see a small Vietnamese restaurant that is it!!. Lovely cheap food, very good service, quick & friendly. decent menu selection but very little English spoken, we had the fresh spring rolls and spicy chicken salad, prawn samosas brilliant!.This is a very simple restaurant with an open kitchen but great value and quirky decor. Only open until 1700hrs, check.
Delicious Vietnamese and Northern Thai food. Try the "Nam Ngiew". It'd a special rice noodles done Northern-style in jot and spicy soup with minced pork, vegetables and blood jelly. Does not sound too enticing but it is really tasty. You can ask opt for a non-spicy option as well.
