This is a very “locals” restaurant. Close to the main Kamala Road, but, hard to fine. Go East 200 meters at the 7-11 / Ohlala Restaurant stoplight. They are open Saturday thru Thursday 11am to 8pm. They will stay open later as long as there’s customers. They have take out, too. It’s owned by a Muslim family so the food is Thai/Halal. Baang, the husband, is the greeter, waiter, and cashier. His wife, Su-by-da, is the cook. Everything is fresh daily. Baang goes to the market every morning to buy the day’s ingredients. Their menu is in English and Thai. My favorites are sweet & sour chicken and chicken fried rice. But, they have a very wide selection of seafood, pork, and vegetables. They will make it as spicy as you desire. All of their main entrees are large and cost β$60-90 (U.S.$2-3). As far as ambiance, well, it’s a traditional small Thai restaurant. It’s open sided, completely shaded by large trees and has a dozen tables. You can certainly spend much more elsewhere, but, you won’t find better than what Su-by-dha cooks up. I eat here often. There’s no place in Kamala that serves so much great food at such a small price. Subaidha could be the best restaurant in Kamala.
