This was our 4th visit to Ragu, we would go more often but the location in Promanda Mall is generally not convenient except when we have business at immigration or a movie we want to see is showing at the mall. Today we tried the pasta for the first time. We started with the Shrimp Scampi app and two different pastas with Ice Tea. We didn't have booze or wine although, there was a great selection available. Everything was simply fabulous. Service was spot on, in a clean friendly environment. The portions were perfect. On previous visits we've had salads, pizza, apps, sandwiches and now pasta, we only lack the Flatbread Pizza and the Desserts which we'll catch next time. OK, the bill as I've said a few time Ragu is not cheap, our lunch was 1,105 tb or $32.51 USD's So it's expensive but if you're going to spend a little this is the place.
Went here again after giving it a break for a while - the food is better again, and a newly expanded menu. Love the free garlic bread (unlimited) with entrees. Great desserts too. They now add 7% tax and 10% service.......so the prices aren't as good as they may seem!
This is a follow up to our visit in March as we were a bit disappointed in the food. First I have to say I have been going to Ragu from they opened a few years ago and I have been mostly pleased with the service and the food but in recent months the quality of the food had gone down. I felt it was only fair to do another review as this time there was a definitely improvement in the taste and quality of the food, we decided to visit again as we have heard that the menu has changed and I have to say it looks a lot like that from Dukes Restaurant which is owned by the same and I have always enjoyed Dukes. This time we were 6 and ordered many of our favorites (best way to tell if there is a improvement) and a few new items they were potato salad, ham salami mortadella pizza, grilled salmon with roasted potatoes a porterhouse pork chops, Italian sausage with pasta and two different salads. The potato salad had a slight different taste and it had in my opinion too much onions but ok for me would love to see they switch out the black Oliver and green, the salmon was very good again a slight different taste than before but cooked right and this time the potatoes was perfect the Italian sausage was the big winner with the group a great flavor and the pasta was also perfect the thin pizza had an unusual good taste and after inspecting it there was Spanish Capers something never had on a pizza before which gave it a nice different flavor have to say the pizza at Dukes is still my favorite and I believe one of the best in Chiang Mai. The baked porterhouse pork chops (lets just say there definition of a porterhouse is not close we could have had one more) was done very well tender moist and a great flavor the vegetables were cooked perfectly the salads well they were just salads nothing to brag about but fresh. As for drinks we are not alcoholic drinkers and what we had were not made by Ragu so no need to talk about them. I have not mention anything on the service as that was al
