We tried S2 as we had had a drink there previously and we like to ocean-side location. The menu had a reasonable range of foods as well as some very cheap lunch set menus. We all went for ala carte and had a pasta starter and some fried cheese balls. Mains were ribs, lamb rack, salmon, and fish and chips. We all enjoyed our food and felt for the price it was of reasonable quality. We were however shocked at the disastrous service. Not only was it hard to attract a waiter it took a very long time to get drinks served even after some reminders. Food was not served in the right way with my main served within moments of my starter so it got to sit whilst I finished the pasta. The worst thing was the elusive salmon. After 4 reminders we had been told it was being cooked and took some time. After getting very nervous it would be cooked to death we eventually cancelled the dish. I think it is a shame as the location is great, the food was fine but the service is so bad that it destroys the whole experience. So much potential to make it a nice place, especially if they had decent service. They have music at evenings and I think if they added some acoustic music for weekend lunches and fixed the service it could be a winner. Until they do avoid it.
