We went for an evening meal. We had a mixed buchetta plate to start which was very fresh and tasty. Our son had a Daviola pizza which he really enjoyed. I had Penne with pesto Sicilia and my husband had farfalle with salmon. Both dishes were superb but next time we would share one pasta plate because the portions are HUGE. I managed less than half. The family are very friendly. One waiter speaks some English. It would be nice if the menus could be translated into English too. We are here for a week so we will go again. Our whole bill, with beers and coke was €39.
We stayed nere this restaurant and went there for lunch and dinner about 6 times in a week, both beacause there were few good alternatives in the area and beacause the food is good with a reasonable price. The restaurant itself is very simple in its design and feels genuinely sicilian. The staff does not speak english, but a little signlanguage and a few words in italian goes a long way. The portions are huge, accept for the pizza whitch was normal, you can easely split one pastadish between two-three adults. We always found the food tasty and the wines were good aswell. Dinner with two courses, a bottle of wine and coffee is about 40-60 euro for three persons, depending on if you split your primi piatti or not. If you are in the neighbourhood and you are hungry, don't hesitate to stop by.
We went and had the antipasto buffet and pasta (we heard from friends the buffet had been huge the night before--the night we went it was small but good quality); the pasta was very good and the prices are exceptionally reasonable; we got two pastas to share among five people. I would absolutely go back here again were I to go back to Noto (which is pretty unlikely but the restaurant is great).
Hard to find. Is not where Trip Adviser maps locate it. Located at GPS N 36.84964 E015.10918 Very much the decor and feel of a large, cheap cafe - see pic. (We were there Easter Sat evening.) Staff speak no English, and don't try. Buffet antipasto was good. 'Tre Caravelle Risotto' was very poor; ludicrously large (would have been too much for two or three adults), and poorly cooked. Clams, tough calamari, lots of mussels and a few small shrimps. Grilled prawns were good. Swordfish was over-cooked €40 for two including a bottle of red wine seemed good value, but we certainly would not go there again.
