We had spent the morning at the Accademia and were searching for a place to have lunch. We happened inside and sat down. Would have sat outside if it had not been raining. Staff came over immediately and in broken English/Italian we started to order Panini sandwiches. They suggested we do a meat and cheese tray instead with a variety of breads. I accepted the offer and waited. This is a small place and we could see the preparation of the meal. The plating was well done and enjoyed the lunch spot very much. Espresso's topped off a great meal in a small cafe.
I've been to Bonaugo with a friend of mine two days ago for lunch and after that deliciuos meal we decided that it was worth writing about it here. We were met by a very pleasant waiter who suggested some dishes and explained that the reastaurant was family run since his mother was the cook. We had two big portions of lasagnas served with fresh bread. The waiters were all very attentive and friendly, especially when one of them recommended what to do in Florence during our visit there. After that he suggested us to try the tiramisù, which was really good as well and then the coffee. We really enjoyed our meal there and we highly recommend it, especially to tourists who want to try the real Italian food!
