On our recent walking tour of Georgetown, my wife and I were looking for a relatively cheap place to eat, something that is woefully lacking in this great little part of D.C. We ducked into a few places but didn't want to pay so much for what looked like pretty average fare. Then, we noticed this little hole in the wall. It was just what we were looking for. We had a cheap pizza ($9 for a 14" large) that was definitely sub-par in taste, but just right in terms of value. They also have some Middle Eastern/Turkish menu items that seemed tastier, but also pricier. Overall, this is a great option if you are looking for something cheap and are willing to skimp on flavor, decor, and a super-clean bathroom. Definitely also family friendly and a good alternative to the chain restaurants in this area.
This restaurant serves halal food for Muslims, which makes it one of the few restaurants that serves halal food in Georgetown. The prices are reasonable, the quality of food is good, the place is good enough for a group of six or individuals.
It is a small restaturant but they have a second floor to eat. It was the best pizza I have ever eaten in this area. The upper site of pizza contains a lot of delicious things, and I think they catched a good harmony in selecting ingredients. I recommend to taste this special pizza. Also we liked Iskender (Turkish style gyro kebab with a special souce and pita like bread under the sliced meats) very much. And while you eat them, you should select "ayran" as a drink.
