We were staying at the Hyatt Place White House and when we pleaded for i.c. the staff recommended this place and even called to be sure it was still open. Nice selection of scoopable ice cream, although we opted for soft ice cream swirled. Also advertised panini and "gourmet" sandwiches, but we just enjoyed our Soft Serve on the sidewalk tables outside. Quiet location (for DC) opposite a large-ish green park.
I was not impressed with the interior of this ice cream parlor. It did have delicious ice cream and good variety on the dipped ice creams. The soft serve was out of service when I was there. The décor if you could call it that was crowded and unattractive, which is why I went outside to eat my cone.
Google maps shows this as a TCBY. The ice cream is very good and the service was excellent. The guy that runs this place was one of the nicest people in DC. He was super helpful and seemed to really enjoy his job.
While visiting with some friends and enjoying DC we went over to the Hershey's Ice Cream store for an afternoon treat. The man behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful. I had the cotton candy ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and it was really good. My friends had the soft serve swirl and the chocolate mint ice cream. It was the perfect snack for an afternoon of running around and seeing the sites.
