Wow was this place busy, the bakery is pretty small so it is can be very cramped but I was in desperate need of a coffee. The service was quick despite the line and amount of people. I was able to get my normal Starbucks drink. My server was very friendly and I got my drink very quickly.
My favorite breakfast place at Disney was Main Street Bakery! Imagine my disappointment when we visited again just last week and this is now a Starbucks. The name is still Main Street Bakery, but they don't have the amazing cinnamon rolls and pastries that were once served. These pastries have now been scattered among the park. We were confused at first when we walked in, so I asked a cast member for a menu. He, very excitedly, says "we are a full functioning Starbucks!" starbucks is a common chain coffee house that I can get anywhere! Why???!!! Why did they take away Main Street bakery and make it a Starbucks??? If you are looking for the huge warm cinnamon rolls or chocolate croissants, they are now being served at Gaston's Tavern. They are amazing!!! If you can get Starbucks in your town, I highly suggest you skip Main Street bakery and ask the cast member there where to get the different pastries that were once served there.
Disney World will cost you money, no way to get around it. However, have a dinning plan and use it wisely. Breakfast at a place like Main Street Bakery can be done for around $45 dollars for a family of five. Sandwiches for ham, egg, and cheese or a pastry plus a drink our around $9 per person, but not recommended to use a quick serve meal because lunch and dinner will be double that price! The food is excellent, the coffee is Starbucks, and the pastries are baked fresh right there. Fast and efficient to start off a day in the Magic Kingdom. Yes, it is busy, but usually only a five to ten minute wait to order and about 5-10 minutes for your food/beverages. The staff is really friendly and loves to smile. They do not make special orders, so what you order is what you will get. Any changes will have to be done by you, in example a croissant with sausage instead of an english muffin with sausage.
We stopped in a couple of times to get breakfast on the go and also for drinks in the afternoon. The lines are always out the door but it moves very quickly. I love that they hand you a menu so that you can decide as you wait in line. Once there was a server going along the line taking orders ahead for items that come from the back. This got your item out faster and kept the line moving. It's a very efficient place. Nice staff too! On our last day in the park we stopped in to purchase the You are Here mugs and the lady at the cash wrapped them nicely for travel and bagged them. Then she offered us ice water because it was hot outside. Very kind gesture! Thanks!
