I have been going to this restaurant for more than a decade, why? because I like good dominican food, including juices like batida made with papaya and milk, love their coffee but particularly because I really enjoy their soups, which in my mind separated them from all the dominican restaurants in the neighborhood. However, last week I went with my friends, and found new menu with very limited selection of soups, back to the normal chicken soup etc. Perhaps they change administration or chef. Service is always nice, although speaking Spanish always help, I think there is no problem if you do not.
$3.99 will buy you a ham/cheese omelette, two slices of toast, home fries, coffee and OJ. A waitress will serve you, with a smile, and the food will just take a few minutes and arrive hot, freshly prepared. And it's completely delicious! I can't say anymore other than you should come here!
I've been coming here for over 20 years. Classic Dominican food - chicken and rice, tostones, tropical juices. The interior isn't fancy, and the staff usually moves at a relaxed Dominican pace. But the food is always solid, and the cafe con leche is to die for...
