Recently visited here for my best friend's engagement party; she had hired the first floor out. First impressions were good, bar staff very friendly as was the bouncer on the door. However, some of the other bouncers seemed intent in throwing one of our friends out because they thought he was drunk. After they threw him out, we insisted on someone speaking to the manager. Straight away the manager let him back in. My best friend had paid for this function therefore I do not understand how the bouncers can make a decision to throw someone out without consulting anyone else first. In addition, at the end of the night with ten minutes still to go, the bouncers congregated on the first floor and repeatedly told us we had to leave, which we were very obviously trying to do. The bar staff however were incredibly pleasant and always made us feel welcome.

My mum, sister and I went here on Saturday 6th Feb for mum's birthday for afternoon tea. It was very nice and the guy on duty was very attentive without being fussy. The only downside are the steep stairs, so not suitable if you are not steady on your feet, but there is an area downstairs which I am sure can be used also. I would go here again.

Booked afternoon tea for me, my sister, mum and mother in law .. We had a variety of sandwiches and cakes and there's also gluten free options if needed. Only suggestion I would make is to add a little more variety to the sandwich fillers as they were quite basic. For example we had just ham but they could of done ham and cream cheese or maybe more meat options. This is just for feedback to possibly help improve future visits. Also could be a good idea to have two trays, one of which just had sandwiches and one for the cakes/scones. The service was great and overall had a lovely day and would 100 percent go back. :)
