Our first morning in Niagara and we didn't know where to go for breakfast. Easy solution, go to the one associated with our hotel. The breakfast was decent but considering the prices paid I would expect a lot better tasting. Average diner quality food at best but spent almost double what diner food is priced.
We happened upon The Flour Mill Restaurant. It proved to be a good find. It was located in the Old Stone Inn, a boutique hotel about two blocks from the Skylon Tower. We were seated promptly. I ordered the Orchard Pear & Brie Panini with a small salad at $12.00. It was made with roasted Anjou pear slices, triple cream brie, wilted baby arugula, and local honey. My friend had the Pea Soup and Salad Special at $12.00. With the meals tax of $1.56, each bill was $13.56. It was about a 20-minute wait for our food. The food was high quality and well prepared. Everything was excellent. The place was immaculately clean. Service was Rachelle was excellent. We recommend the Flour Mill Restaurant for anyone looking for an upscale lunch about three blocks from the Horseshoe Falls and close to the Skylon Tower and Sheraton which overlook the Welcome Center. We were staying at the Old Stone Inn so decided to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was lovely. Service was fairly slow but our waitress was very friendly and helpful. It was a little pricey but the food was very good. My husband had an omelet and I had a hash skillet. It was an enjoyable finish to our stay at the Inn.
