We were staying with friends nearby and they recommended Hi-Life, suggesting there is a glassed in place inside that is quieter than the bar. But we never got that far. We sat outside as the weather was unseasonably warm. The service was friendly and attentive and the food perfect for our needs. (We wanted something light as we had been at a cocktail party before.) I had the steamed artichoke--a comfort food from my childhood and it was great with both butter and a tasty balsamic dressing. Hubby had the turkey chili, which would have been too hot for me, but was just right for him. Topped it off with a delicious brownie with ice cream.
Stumbled past this place after going to the Natural History Museum. No complaints. Good service, nice food and reasonable prices. We went during happy hour which was 3 for 2 on starters. We were stuffed even before the main courses came. They also do sushi which seems like and odd mix for a bar and grill but maybe this is more common in NYC than in the UK. I had a steak burger and the steak was cooked to expectation. My favorite thing about the place was actually the music. An acquired taste but I really like eating food to Nirvana, Pixies and LCD Soundsystem on repeat!
