Carl's = best ice cream in DC. Always stop there when in/going through Fredericksburg. I only wish they didn't close over winter. I recommend the Pineapple Shake!

Decent, but not the best ice cream in the D.C. area. Dairy Godmother in Alexandria, VA has better custard. Larry's Ice Cream, Thomas Sweet, and Ice Cream Jubilee in D.C. have better ice cream.
