We've ate at this Moe's Southwest Restaurant twice while visiting UCF. Minutes from the campus. Standard southwest meal, usually reliable "Moe's" burritos. Staff has always been very friendly. Would probably return to this restaurant when visiting UCF.
Popped in for a quick bite while running errands. A better version of chipotle in my opinion. I had a burrito bowl with rice, black beans, lettuce, black olives and guacamole. Side note: if you are not a fan of onions steer clear of the guac. My husband attempted the Overachiever Burrito with beef, southwestern rice, lettuce, tomato and guacamole. I'm not going to lie, it was too much for him! Upon post food consumption perusal of the menu we noticed there is an overachiever junior. We upgraded to the meal for an additional $2.99 and got a drink and a side of guac to go with the free chips they offer. You can choose between guac and queso.
This Moe's, across the street from UCF, is usually busy. It's relatively clean for a fast service place, and the high turnover means the chips are fresh and the 'fixings' seem fresh also. The young teen (girl) working tonight was slowly spraying ammonia-based cleaner on the glass partitions in front of the food as we moved thru the line. In short, a Windex-like substance was sprayed right near the food - over and over. She disappeared into the back and emerged immediately without washing cleaning solution off her bare hands. Then she started loading chips into baskets - gross. Became defensive when asked if she washed her hands. Tossed some attitude. #Fail. Reporting this to health department. Welcome to dirty hands and cleaner in your food - no thanks.
