Almost a year to the day and I just had to go back to the Lotus due to my fond memories of the food. But sadly things have really changed. It has obviously changed hands and is now run by what appears to be a husband and wife team. My food was plain awful - Dried, reheated I think, rice and a lamb korma which was dry, dry lamb in a tasteless gruel. And a hard dry naan bread. However the waitress was lovely and friendly. A small glimmer of hope maybe?
loved the food the service and the ambience...everything at its place...wud definately cum again...found the quantity of the items a bit less,it wud b better if on the menu card the servings are mentioned to get a clear idea...loved it!
I ordered delivery on Easter monday. Food was by far the worst Indian I have eaten. The basics of seasoning the food were missing, Tandoori chicken was just coloured had no flavour whatsoever, not an ounce of seasoning. Chilli chicken tasted of sweet chilli sauce and water mixed together. chicken was fried in a some sort of batter that tasted nowhere near to Indo-chinese. They did send us a take away of rice and kulfi which was just sugar and milk mixed together and frozen. Overall a very bad and inconsistent food.
I often travel for business and look for convenient places to eat which are close to the hotel I'm staying at. We ordered a banquet for 2 and weren't able to finish the meal, there was that much food! Entree - 2 Samosa, 4 Bhaji, 2 x Chicken Tikka, 2 x Chicken Tandoori, 2 x char roasted lamb chops and some papadums. Main - Malai Kofts, Lamb Korma, Murgh Makhani and as much plain naan, garlic naan and rice as you want. Dessert - A Lotus Combo. All of this for $35/head. And it was delicious. SO much so that I went back the next night !!!
