Excellent food at very reasonable prices. I had steamed chicken with rice, and sambals. Was just as good as when i have eaten it in Malaysia. Was very comfortable seating, and was very roomy and quiet. Will definably be back.
Last December (2015) we had to do a last-minute booking for dinner for 7 on a Saturday night. They were fully booked but they managed to squeeze us in. That's great customer service and how to win repeat customers! The staff were very polite and helpful, and the food was magnificent. We ordered quite a few different dishes, and they were all generous serves and typically incredibly tasty. One of the hawker noodle dishes we thought was a bit bland. There was some left at the end of the meal so we took it home - when we had it the next day we were really surprised how delicious it was! That shows just how tasty the other dishes were. Two of our party had food intolerances (no onion, no gluten, no milk products) but the wait staff were unfazed. They went off to ask the chefs and came back offering advice on which dishes were ok. Some places it seems like we're being nuisances asking this, but these people were quite happy to help. We've since been back once and will go again (>30 minute drive for us), and others in the group who live 5 mins drive away have said that's their new favourite local restaurant. It's not cheap, but it's certainly worth the money.
First visit to this suburban restaurant surrounded by a range of other restaurant cuisines. Sharing plates between six, the best entree is the roti chicken rolls with a zesty peanut sauce, and by far the stand-out main was melt-in-the-mouth beef rendang. Not sharing this one again! :) Tamarind prawns was sadly lacklustre, direct opposite to the menu description. Massive prawns that were all head, no meat, and no 'spicy' :( Good range of other choices to select from and am sure some will be a better standard. Efficient, pleasant service. Good value. BYO was an advantage.
