We came to this bar because we saw that we may have some tricks at the bar in the terrace area, as advertised on the website. We were disappointed. We saw groups who booked a downstairs show been given snacks like nuts and crisps with their drinks while they waited for the show. We were drinking in the bar sitting right next to these groups and given no snacks....and also there were no tricks at the upstairs tables. I can't comment on the show. The waiters were friendly but don't visit the upstairs bar expecting magic tricks...or snacks with your wine. I think they are really all about customers paying for the downstairs show, which is not what we understood from the website.
I've always been a magic lover, so when I saw this place advertised I definitely wanted to check it out. Service was so bad that I had to at least say something to the manager, who -borderline rude- replied "Oh well sir, that is your opinion, we just happen to have another one"...so much for customer service, right? If that was not enough, the place where they perform the magic act is both tiny and uncomfortable, and, on top of that, the one-hour magic act has only 3 (yeah, only THREE!!!) tricks...all the rest is the French magician in a valiant -but unsuccesful- attempt to be funny. My advice: watch a magic video on Youtube and let Paris be Paris, walk around, dine, enjoy a good glass of wine. Service: 4 Food: N/A Atmosphere: 4
We have had a great time in the double fond. The food was good, we received several excellent finger food. The show was good, but heavily loaded with speeches. So if you don't speak French, then you got only half the fun. The area is beautiful during the night. A beautiful place surrounded by nice Appartment houses and a square in front. with
Did not eat the food there. This review if for anyone who is in Paris and was hoping to catch a good magic show and came across this place on the internet. There are about 4 magicians who rotate each night, so you see one magician per night. I saw Philippe de perthuis as the performer. One of worse performances ever. 1.5hour of painful 90%talk and 10% magic. Half his act is mentalism. This is what he did: horrible center tear. Worst memorize deck ever seen, Worst linking ring ever seen. If you want to go to see magic specifically, which was my case, I would ask to see who the performer is and avoid this guy at all cost. He was very nice. His performance honestly was not worth anywhere near the money I paid to see it.
