A lovely meal on our first evening in Amsterdam. Some Kurdish dishes we had not sampled before, Babaganus, Diloki, Guzyar and Boraka Penir super fresh and very tasty. Should definitely try the red wine, we had the Yakut which was very nice. There is a great variety of main courses the three we had were all delish A family run business, very friendly and helpful.
This neighborhood restaurant in "de Pijp", run by two very friendly brothers, serves excellent Kurdish / Mediterranean food. Good wines. Lovely salads as starters, try the mixed plate, "meze" to taste them all! Equally delicious main dishes consist of chicken, lamb, fish or veggies, served with a dish of bulgur and salad. From the outside it looks a bit dull and dark, but it is the food that counts, so go in and try! It is so yummy and healthy too!
